Tips For Summer BBQ's

The key to a successful bbq is keeping it casual. Entertaining in your garden this summer does not need to be stressful.

If you are not used to BBQing, remember that practice makes perfect. No one expects the perfect BBQ as you begin your BBQing journey. Eventually over time you will gain confidence and start to experiment with more food and flavours. Don't put too much pressure on yourself and go with the flow.

The BBQ can be used for a number of foods not just the standard meat dishes that we associate with the BBQ. Fresh fish is a popular choice for the bbq or anything with a shell such as oysters or lobsters work well. Vegetables are an healthy alternative and cooked on a bbq medium heat will help enrich them with amazing flavour. Jacket potatoes are another choice, maybe not thought of that often to cook on a bbq. They make a great choice for any vegans and are always a winner with most guests and any children.

Prepare salads and side dishes beforehand especially if you are having a few people over for a bbq. You can even ask guests to bring their favourite dishes along. Keep utensils at hand and arrange a surface like a table to transfer any cooked food for people to easily get too. A drinks table is always a good idea, set it out so that guests can help themselves which gives you more time to socialise and relax.

Start and finish with a clean barbecue grill this way it saves time next time you are wanting to host a bbq.  If your guests stay into the evening then an open fire will keep them cosy and add to the atmosphere as they gather around to chat. A fire pit is a great way to combine both a social and cooking area.
