Wilderness & Wreaths- Nature's Christmas

Why not go for a natural festive Christmas decor this year. Indulge yourself with nature and opt for some eco friendly decorations. The garden is a great starting point for all things natural.

Natural Garland

Why not make a Evergreen branch garland you can use clippings from pine, cedar, fir and rosemary. Simply bundle the branches with twine and layer them in one direction to create a thick, lush garland. Use on mantels, door frames or rails for a stunning finish.

Woodland Wreath

Use willow, grapevine or flexible branches to create the foundation of a natural wreath. Once you have done that then weave in Holly, Ivy, Eucalyptus, Dried Berries and Pinecones. Pop on a ribbon if you want to add more decoration or simply leave it rustic.

The scent of Christmas

Dried Citrus ornaments are a very traditional way to celebrate and decorate for Christmas. Simply slice thinly, dry in the oven at a low heat and string garden twine through. Hang onto branches, garlands or use as beautiful gift toppers.

Flowers and herbs are also great to add to a christmassy atmosphere. These are especially good for garden fire pit gatherings and parties. Using lavender, hydrangea heads, rosemary or sage bundles are great choices. Use these as tree ornaments or even table centrepieces.

Festive Family Walks

Go on a festive family walk and collect some twigs. Make these into stars to hang in the window. A great activity for the whole family. Pinecones are great for a family Christmas activity. Use for decorations and spend some quality time crafting together, this makes for a great festive tradition.

Mini Christmas Trees

Small conifers and trees in the garden make for perfect ready made mini Christmas trees. Simple add some outdoor lights and create the magic of Christmas.
